What Barajatr Actually Is

Barajatr is a collaborative music video from two Kazakhstani artists — dudeontheguitar and dododowson. The teaser dropped through Qazaq Indie, a production outfit that's been putting serious craft behind indie music from the region.

The track itself was produced by dukedukeson and sisl_sunnatov. Live guitar is by soltek3. Scratch by dj_roman_shukshin. That combination — programmed production with real guitar and real scratch — tells you this isn't a bedroom project. Someone made decisions about what the sound should feel like, and then hired people to execute those decisions.

The full MV is on YouTube. The teaser is 17 seconds. That's enough to see the visual direction and know whether you want to watch the rest.

The Team Behind the Camera

Director is Tumarbeq. DOP is bespayev.n. First AC is piskarevx. That's a real camera crew — not a director shooting everything solo on a mirrorless.

Production design went to 1vechno_molodoy_khan, with a PD assistant. Costume design to fullybullshit, with two CD assistants. MUA on set. Administration handled by two people separately.

When you read a credit list that long on a music video, you're reading a decision. Someone chose to staff this like a short film, not a YouTube clip. That changes what ends up on screen. The production design and costume work get their own lanes, which means neither one gets compromised by the other.

The edit is by kaisar.adilkhan. Color by Jarqyn Otegenov. VFX by capekere. Title design by oi.lab and sagi.tg. Post is as staffed as the shoot.

Nine Cast Members, Three Locations

The cast list runs nine names: vkusnayamed, _nurmmmm, sandibekoov, m.abdikady1, maliqqa.q, zharqynzhan, inab_t, asemzhank, irinakub.

Locations were dom36kz, otzalt, and colossus.space — all credited in the special thanks. Three distinct spaces. That's a real location scout, not whoever had a nice apartment available.

Colossus.space in particular has become a recognizable name in Almaty creative production. Seeing it alongside dom36kz and otzalt suggests they were building a visual world across the video, not shooting everything in one place and hoping the edit carries it.

Nine cast members across three locations with a full crew means this was a multi-day or at minimum a very long single-day shoot. The teaser gives you a glimpse of that scale. The full MV is where you see what it all adds up to.

Why Qazaq Indie Keeps Showing Up

Qazaq Indie produced this. They're also the ones who pushed it out. That matters because they're not a label in the traditional sense — they're more of a production infrastructure for artists in Kazakhstan who want to make work that looks and sounds like it belongs on any international platform.

The level of crew on Barajatr is consistent with that positioning. You don't hire a separate production designer and a costume designer and a VFX artist and a colorist if you're trying to put out content fast. You hire all of them if you're trying to make something that holds up.

The full MV is on YouTube. If the teaser did its job, that's where you go next.
